Dr. Aldo Pucci, director of the Institute, explained that thoughts cause feelings and behaviors, not people, things, and situations. "We all learn thoughts that cause us problems. These thoughts cause us to feel unwanted feelings and engage in unwanted behaviors," stated Pucci.

The Rational Thinking Score web site, found at http://www.rational-thinking-score.com, assesses the fifty-one most common thoughts that create misery and problematic behaviors. These thoughts are at the heart of various disorders and psychological problems, such as depression, anxiety, panic, substance abuse, eating disorders, low self-esteem, and anger problems. Suggestions for correcting those thoughts are provided based on the visitor's responses to questions asked on the web site.
